The meeting occurred in Maputo city, through the initial research network of the LABGEC of NEPAM/UNICAMP (Brazil), and support from the QES Climate Justice in York University (Canada). Dr. Allan Iwama and Dr. Izidro Muhale talked about possibilities of investigation between your projects research and establish connections between citizen science research in Brazil, Africa and Chile.

The QES scholars meet happened in Johannesburg centre through of QES network | Ecological Economics, Commons Governance, and Climate Justice at York University (Canada). Ferrial Adam is a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology and Development Studies at University of Johannesburg and environmental justice activist. Her work explores how poor communities in South Africa, which are located near polluting industries, are using science to obtain evidence of water pollution.
